Kanchanpur, Oct 22: A joint team of security personnel of both Nepal and India have been patrolling on Dodhara Chadani area of Kanchanpur to curb criminal activities on the Nepal-India border during festivals, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Khadka said that police personnel of Armed Police Force (APF) at APF border security beat at Dodhara and the Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB), Indian border security force, at SSB's beat at Naujaliya have been patrolling in the area to control criminal activities including transactions of counterfeit currencies, smuggling of illegal weapons and illegal drugs and human trafficking among others.
He said that they have intensified patrolling to control any untoward activities during festivals.
